Alton Hotel, Prague

Удобное расположение - рядом метро и центральные достопримечательности. Рядом знаменитый "Пивоваренный дом". Чисто, уютно и приветливый персонал. Завтрак - скромный, но вполне достаточный.

We were 8 retired people from Sweden who stayed 4 days at Alton Hotel in Prague now (26-30 aug 2009) during very hot summerweather. Cheep in money men not cheep in living. Cleen rooms, perfect air condition, Near to tram and undergrown. Perfect breakfast. The hotel arranged transport from and to the airport to a very good price. We found an excellent restaurant at the other side of the hotelblock, MATYLDA Tylovo namesti 1. Everyone was pleased and happy with Alton hotel.

We stayed at this hotel in August 2008 and enjoyed it very much. Our room was a good size and very comfortable. We were leased to have a small refrigerater in the room as well as a safe at no extra charge. The buffet breakfast was very good and quite large. The staff on the front desk were very courteous and helpful. The hotel was conventently located close to trams and metro for transpotation to other areas of the city. An internet cafe was very close as well and very reasonable. All in all we enjoyed our stay at the Alton Hotel and would certainly stay there again.

Rooms were clean, probably quite recently renovated, and spacious and there was air conditioning in the room, which was necessary, since it was quite warm outside. Service was friendly, and there was Internet in the lobby (though there's a small fee to use it). Breakfast was good: nice variety and enough to make it to the lunch. And coffee was really good! There was no restaurant at the hotel, but there are many nice restaurants quite close to the hotel, such as Legenda on Legerova St., U Mlsného bobra on Jécna St., and Restaurant Babylon little further away. The hotel is located next to a big street, which makes (at least some of) the rooms a bit noisy, but if you aren't a light sleeper, there shouldn't be any problem. There's quite a long walk to the downtown, but the public transport system (trams and subway) is really good, and thus the distance is no problem. Both the tram stop and the subway station are just beside the hotel, and taking the tram is a really nice way to see the city! Also, as the hotel isn't in the most touristic area, the restaurants close to the hotel tend to be a little cheaper (and maybe also better) than in the main tourist area. In total, we really liked the hotel and would definitely go back again. And Prague in itself is definitely worth the visit!

The hotel Alton is really a good choice for price. It's very well located and the rooms are espacious. Breakfast is excellent and staff are very helpful.

The hotel is nice, and bedrooms are spacious, beds very confortables and they have an excellent breakfast.It's very close to metro station "I.P. Pavlova" and many tram lines. Excellent choice for price.
