Ibis Hotel The Hague City Centre

Room is very basic but spacious and clean. The only issue is the drainage in the shower room, which is not very efficient and when the drainage cap is opened, it smelled. I like that the window can be opened slightly to allow for ventilation. Location is great, right at the city centre. But because it's right at the city centre, it can be noisy at around 8-10pm where you can hear loud musics. As there are construction work going on as well outside the hotel, there are machine noise as well. But in general, it's bearable. Staffs at the reception are generally friendly and helpful ONLY when you approach them. I am not very happy with the cleaning of the room. When I hang the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign outside my room door, the cleaner would still clean up my room. On the contrary, when I put on the "PLS CLEAN MY ROOM", over about 20 days of stay, I've experienced 2 days without cleaners cleaning my room (and I put the sign on in the morning). My flight arrived early in the morning, and I reached the hotel at 9am. But due to room unavailability, I was not given a room. Waited there until 12pm (in between there are lots of people checking out) but they still won't allow me to check-in (I believe the cleaner will have ample time to have already cleaned up at least 3 rooms by then. They should be more flexible to clients, as I was really tired after like more than 15 hrs of travelling.

Rooms were very spacious, with fabulous wet rooms. Nicely located in the centre of The Hague, easy wlaking distance to the local amenities and the office. Could do with tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms and the abr was very expensive.
